STILLWATER, Okla. (OSU Athletics Missouri (39-6, 11-2) scored two runs in the first inning from an RBI-single by Nicole Hudson and when Princess Krebs was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The third run came in the third inning from a throwing error by Cowgirl catcher Ashley Boyd.
Krebs hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and Missouri tacked on one more run in the seventh from an RBI-double by Ashley Fleming. Tiger pitcher Chelsea Thomas threw a one-hit shutout and finished with 13 strikeouts. She is now 23-4 on the year.
Cowgirl junior Julie Ward managed to break up Thomas' no-hitter in the second inning with a hard hit ball past Missouri second baseman, Abby Vock. Sophomore Kat Espinosa threw the complete game for OSU and fell to 20-6 on the season. She allowed seven hits for three earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Oklahoma State and Missouri will play again tomorrow at noon in the last Cowgirl home game of the season.
