Cowgirls Move Into 6th Place In California

STANFORD, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team recorded a 281 during its second round on Saturday at the Stanford Intercollegiate to move up three spots into sole possession of sixth place at Stanford Golf Course.
The Cowgirls used their 3-under tally to climb back to even par at 568 through 36 holes at the par-71, 6,148-yard layout. OSU will begin tomorrow's final round four shots behind Washington and Southern California for fourth place. UCLA posted a 5-under 279 for a 556 total to grab a four-shot lead over the field.
In the individual race, Oregon's Cassy Isagawa carded her second 67 in a row to move into a tie with Washington's SooBin Kim at 8-under 134. Kim posted a 68 during her second round.
OSU sophomore Jayde Panos posted a 1-under 70 to move up 11 spots into a tie for 23rd place at 142.
Joining her teammate at 142 was sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun, who posted the round of the day with a 7-under 64 to move from a tie for 80th into the group tied for 23rd. The transfer from SMU started her day on the back nine with birdies on two of her first five holes. After her lone bogey of the day at the 16th, she added birdies at the 17th and the 18th to turn at 3-under 33. Ruengmateekhun added her fifth and sixth birdies of the day at Nos. 4 and 5 before carding an eagle at the par-5 seventh en route to a 4-under 31 on her inward nine.
Junior Kelsey Vines carded a 75 to finish the day at 145 and tied for 41st place, while sophomore Josephine Janson posted a 72 to stand in a tie for 50th place at 146.
Senior Jocelyn Alford signed for a 78 to come in tied for 63rd place at 149.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with Washington and Southern California.
