Stillwater, Okla. -- Oklahoma State's James Anderson, the unanimous Big 12 Player of the Year, has been named to the 2010 John R. Wooden Award All-American team, it was announced today by the by the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
Anderson becomes just the second Cowboy to garner the distinction of being a Wooden Award All-American, joining John Lucas who was named to the team in 2004. The award was created in 1976.
Anderson is joined on the 10-man team by West Virginia's Da'Sean Butler, Sherron Collins of Kansas, Kentucky's DeMarcus Cousins, Wesley Johnson of Syracuse, Villanova's Scottie Reynolds, Jon Scheyer of Duke, Ohio State's Evan Turner, Greivis Vasquez of Maryland, and Kentucky's John Wall.
The Cowboy junior, who has already declared himself eligible for the 2010 NBA Draft, has been named to multiple All-America teams this season and is a consensus second-team All-America pick.
