Terry joined ASSA staff in July of 2001 and currently serves as the primary counselor for the OSU football team. Prior to arriving at Oklahoma State, he spent six years as a mental health counselor in Oklahoma City specializing in gang at-risk youth as well as emotionally disturbed children and families. As a Senior Academic Counselor, Terry manages the academic support programs for at-risk student-athletes, working to ensure that those student-athletes remain eligible and make satisfactory progress towards their degrees. He also advises student-athletes regarding life skills, personal issues, major selection, eligibility status, and enrollment, and he participates in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes during official campus visits. Terry received his B.A. in Sociology from Oklahoma State University in 1993 and completed a Master's of Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2001. In addition, Terry is a former student-athlete who played five seasons for Oklahoma State University as a defensive back (1988-1993), and he has one daughter named Kortnee Nycole.
