Cowgirl Golf Finishes 11th at UCF Challenge

SORRENTO, Fla.ÂOklahoma State's women's golf team finished in 11th place at the UCF Challenge on Tuesday after carding a 299 score during its final round at RedTail Golf Club.
The Cowgirls finished the 54-hole event with a 17-over 881 total to come in one shot off the pace of Pepperdine for 10th place.
Duke ran away with the team title after tallying a 13-under 851 total to finish nine shots ahead of runner-up Purdue. The Blue Devils also produced the individual medalist as Alison Whitaker carded an even-par 72 to finish at 208 on her way to a two-shot victory.
OSU's Pernilla Lindberg finished in red figures for the Cowgirls with a 4-under 212 total after posting a 74 on Tuesday. The junior finished tied for fifth to earn her fourth top 10 of the season.
Three Cowgirls tied for 52nd place at 8-over 224. Junior Karin Kinnerud turned in her second 74 of the event, while senior Tammy Clelland posted a 75 to finish at 8-over. Freshman Jaclyn Sweeney rounded out the trio with a 78 on the day.
Junior Amanda Johnson posted her third consecutive 76 to finish at 228 and tied for 69th place.
