Cowgirl Tennis Completes Second Day at UNLV Invitational

was one of the only bright spots for the Cowgirls. Collins advanced to the flight four championships by defeating UNLV's Claire Smith, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Zuzanna Osinska picked up the only other win for the Cowgirls. Osinska beat Emily Anderson of Gonzaga, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2).
OSU's 58th-ranked lost her third match in a row. Tkachenko lost to instate rival Carla Zabaleta of Tulsa, 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2). Cowgirl lost her first match of the year to Texas A&M's Ale Jordan, 7-5, 6-3.
The Cowgirls went 0-2 in doubles action.
Play will begin tomorrow at noon (CT) with the singles finals.
