Howell, Hultman Earn All-Big 12 Academic Honors

Oklahoma State men's golf student-athletes Charles Howell and Anders Hultman were announced Wednesday as Academic All-Big 12 honorees.

Howell, ranked ninth in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings and eighth in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, was named to the academic all-conference first team. The business major from Augusta, Ga., leads the Big 12 in stroke average (70.50) and is the top-ranked player in the league.

Hultman was named Academic All-Big 12 honorable mention. He is ranked 31st by Golfweek/Sagarin and 39th by MasterCard.

Both players will represent OSU as the Cowboys look to regain the Big 12 Championship on this coming Monday and Tuesday, April 24-25. The league tournament will again be played at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The third-ranked Cowboys have been tabbed by the conference's coaches as the pre-tournament favorite.
