In a match that featured only singles play, the top three Cowgirls were able to record victories.
At the No. 1 singles position, senior Linda Faltynkova defeated Southwest Missouri State's Ia Zozrashvili in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.
Senior Kate Vasylyeva followed suit by defeating Cassandra Godfrey, 6-0, 6-3. while junior Katya Kolodynska defeated Marta Rubina at the No. 3 position, 6-3, 6-2.
The Lady Bear's first team point came when Maria Amato defeated Erin Pauchnik in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, at the fourth spot.
Sophomore Ines Furtmayr gave up an early lead against SWMS's Laura Miller in the No. 5 position, to fall (5-7), 6-2, 6-2.
OSU freshman Zana Masnic secured the win for the Cowgirls after defeating Ala Alvarez 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-2).
The Cowgirls will return to action on Sunday when they host Rice University at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
