Cowboys Finish Second at Big 12 Championships
November 03, 2003 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State was led by Mindi Pukstas, who gained eligibility earlier this week. Pukstas finished fourth overall with a time of 24:45.8 around the 8K course. Senior Jason Woolhouse finished close behind with a time of 24:53.1, which was good enough for sixth place overall. This marked Woolhouse's third top-ten finish in the conference meet.
Scott Rantall finished 17th, and Derek Tate and freshman Brian Ehlis also scored for the Cowboys with a 31st and 34th finish respectively.
The Colorado team could not be caught, though, as they placed four of their top five runners in the top 10, finishing with 38 points. The Cowboys scored 91 points as a team, followed by Texas A&M with 119.
Oklahoma State will be back in action when it hosts the Midwest Regional meet on November 15.
