November 19, 2003 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State's cross country team has added one of the area's top distance running recruits to its 2003 class, it was announced today by Assistant Coach Dave Smith.
Brian Gosnell, a high school senior from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is one of the most accomplished distance runners in the area and will be eligible to compete for the Cowboys in the fall of 2004.
Gosnell's undefeated 2003 season has included a class 6A state title in cross country, as well as victories at major races including the Cowboy Jamboree, the Southwestern Stampede, the Chili Pepper, and the Arkansas vs. Oklahoma Border War.
Gosnell will be competing in the FootLocker South Regional Championship in North Carolina later this month, and is one of the favorites to earn a top-eight spot and qualify for the national meet to be run in San Diego in December.
