Cowboy and Cowgirl Track Makes Academic All-Big 12

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's and women's track teams combined to place 21 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 team. The Cowboys had eight named to the first team and one named to the second team, while the Cowgirls placed 12 on the first team as announced by the conference today.
Juniors Kevin Connolly, Jonathon Cordes, Ben Lake, Gregory Rouault, Ben Sigle, Derek Tate, Trey Vernon III and sophomore Chris McWatters were all named to the first team, while junior Jason Woolhouse was named to the second team from the Cowboys.
The Cowgirls had graduate student Siri Alfheim, sophomores Lisa Bowles, Desiree Brown, Joanna Fedick, Sara Kofoed, Valentina Medina and Sharalee Sparks, seniors Laurel Catlett-King and Alexandra Lindquist, juniors Lindsay Hall, Ami Butler and Kristina Klos were all named to the first team.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will be competing in the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, May 17-19 in Columbia, Mo.
