Women's Tennis Falls To No. 31 Tulsa, 7-2

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The 45th-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team suffered its first home loss, 7-2, at the hands of No. 31 Tulsa Thursday afternoon at the DuBois Tennis Center.
The loss snapped OSU's five-match winning streak and dropped the Cowgirls' record to 13-4 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12. The Golden Hurricane improved to 17-4 on the season.
Tulsa took control of the match early in singles play and clinched the victory after taking five of six singles matches from the Cowgirls.
OSU's lone singles win came at the No. 2 position, when Dominika Olszewska zipped to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Monica Poveda. The win moved her mark to 10-7 on the season.
In doubles action, the No. 1 tandem of Maria Galoustova and Ashleigh Dolman continued their impressive play, winning their sixth consecutive match to improve to 12-7 on the year.
Oklahoma State will return to action this weekend with a pair of matches against Big 12 foes. The Cowgirls will face Nebraska on Saturday and Iowa State on Sunday. Both matches are slated to begin at 10 a.m.
