HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Anders Hultman carded a second consecutive round of 66 on Saturday to take a two-stroke lead into Sunday's final round of the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational, presented by Cleveland Golf.
Hultman's 36-hole score of 132 (12 under par) leaves him within range of the school scoring record of 199, a third consecutive 66 would break the mark. The Swedish junior leads a trio of players by two strokes in a bid for his first career collegiate title.
The Cowboys are third as a team after dropping one position Saturday. OSU's team score of 21-under-par is 12 strokes behind Georgia and five behind second-place Georgia Tech.
Sophomore J.C. DeLeon, who had joined Hultman in the top five through 18 holes, is now in 15th place at 5-under. Freshmen Par Nilsson (26th at 3-under), Matt McQuillan (38th at 1-under) and Pete Stone (72nd at 5-over) rounded out the OSU lineup.
The tournament continues with a single round Sunday.
