With the 2012 cross country season underway, we sat down with some of the newcomers to the team to get an idea of who they are and how they chose Oklahoma State. Today's Q&A is with three-time Oklahoma all-state performer, Paige Barnes.
What brought you to Oklahoma State?
"The cross country team. On my visit all of the girls and guys were one big family and I really loved that."
What is your favorite thing about OSU? Why?
"I like the amount of passion the school has for their athletics."
What do you miss most about home?
"Definitely my friends."
What sports do you like to watch in your spare time?
"Football is by far my favorite sport to watch."
Who are your favorite team(s)?
"OSU Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys."
Who is your favorite Olympian? Why?
"Lolo Jones. She had spinal surgery a year before the Olympic Games and still had the motivation and drive to compete in the games, which shows her passion for track and her need to compete."
What is your biggest pet peeve?
"People who say, `I can't' without even trying."
What is your guilty pleasure?
"Rocky Road ice cream."
Who is the most played artist on your iPod?
"Hunter Hayes."
What is your favorite TV show?
"NCIS."
What is one word to describe yourself?
"Eclectic."
