TULSA, Okla. – The Oklahoma State track and field program opened the outdoor season at the Tulsa Duels on Saturday, with the Cowboys posting a 4-1 dual record and the Cowgirls going 3-2.
OSU recorded six first-place finishes at the meet, with the men and women each winning three events.
For the Cowboys, senior Colby Lowe picked up a victory in the 3,000 meters after posting a time of 8:30.34. A pair of freshmen picked up wins, as Cody Kenny took first in the 100-meter dash with an 11.10 effort, while Fabian Clarkson ran a 5:51.68 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase.
On the women’s side, senior Teran Mixon won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:38.27. Sophomore Caileigh Glenn took first in the 800 meters with a 2:16.03 effort, while junior Kate Kujawa ran a 9:58.28 in the 3,000 meters.
OSU will return to action when it heads to the Texas Relays in Austin on March 28-31.
