Cowgirl Tennis Opens Conference Play in Norman

STILLWATER, Okla. - The No. 53 Oklahoma State women's tennis team will open Big 12 play when it takes on No. 54 Oklahoma Saturday in Norman at noon for the 46th meeting of Bedlam in women's tennis.

Coming off two wins at the Blue Gray Classic in Alabama last weekend, the Cowgirls (6-2) head into the match ranked above the Sooners (5-6) for the first time since 2007.

Leading the way for the Cowgirls is Malika Rose, who is 6-2 is singles play, and the undefeated doubles team of C.C. Sardinha and Isabela Miro.   

The Sooners, fresh off a 5-2 loss against Rice last weekend, are led by the No. 34 doubles team of Whitney Ritchie and Marie-Pier Huet. The pair is 5-3 on the season.

The Cowgirls hold a 30-15 series advantage over the Sooners.
