With the match decided in favor of the Cowgirls, the two remaining matches consisted of one set of eight games. Cowgirl junior Kanyapat Narattana notched another victory for Oklahoma State in the fifth spot when she defeated Mississippi State’s Lien Van Geel 8-3. Lorena Gheorghe shut out Sarai Flores of Mississippi State at six to finish the match for the Cowgirls. With the match clinched, the teams did not compete in doubles.
“It was another good performance by our team completing a good weekend,” Cowgirl tennis coach Chris Young said. “Today was a mental challenge playing on just two courts indoors, but our girls responded well. I am proud of how our girls compete and the results are coming because of that.”
