Cowgirl Softball Blanked By Missouri

Oklahoma State’s softball team lost its fourth consecutive Big 12 game on Sunday, falling to Missouri, 5-0, at University Field. The Cowgirls are now 20-20 overall. Missouri improves to 4-0 in conference play and 17-19 overall.

The Cowgirls had four hits in the contest, two each from Courtney Totte and Crystal Lee.

Missouri plated one run in the first, three in the second and one in the third. Heather Kunkel led the Tigers, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI. Kunkel had the only extra base hit of the game, a double in the second inning.

Randi Cook (1-4) threw the first two innings for the Cowgirls, allowing four runs on five hits. Kristen Neil closed out the game and did not allow a hit in the four innings of relief but gave up one earned run after three walks.

Erin Kalka (13-11) had another impressive outing in the circle for the Tigers, striking out 10 Cowgirls en route to the shutout.

Oklahoma State (20-20) returns to action on Thursday, hosting Oklahoma for Bedlam at 7 p.m.
