PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (OSU Athletics The Bulldogs (5-0) scored all four of their runs in the second inning. Fresno State loaded the bases with singles for Rebecca Hall who hit the ball to center field and scored two. Haley Gilleland followed her with a double to left field and scored two more runners.
Oklahoma State got on the board in the fourth inning with a two-run home run by Julie Ward. Chelsea Garcia added the third run in the seventh as she hit the ball over the left field fence.
Freshman Simone Freeman started in the circle for the Cowgirls. She threw four innings, gave up six hits for four runs and struck out five. Sophomore Kat Espinosa came in to pitch the last two innings. She didn't give up a hit and struck out three. Freeman picked up the loss and falls to 4-3 on the season.
Michelle Moses picked up her second win for the Bulldogs. She threw all seven innings, allowed four hits for three runs and struck out 13.
Oklahoma State will finish up in the Cathedral City Classic tomorrow when they face Massachusetts at 3:30 CT and Long Beach State at 8:30 CT.
