Cowgirls At The NCAA Soccer Championship
Oklahoma State is 20-3-2 overall and was selected as No.
3 national seed after the Cowgirls won
their third consecutive Big 12 Conference championship.
OSU is making its fifth consecutive NCAA Women's Soccer
Championship appearance and the sixth in the program's
15-year history.
Oklahoma State advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA
Women's Soccer Championship for the first time in program
history Friday, and the Cowgirls will host Notre Dame in
quarterfinal action Friday at 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer
Complex with a berth in the 2010 Women's College Cup on the
line.
OSU, a No. 3 national seed in the tourney, improved to
20-3-2 with its 2-0 win over Duke on Friday. The Cowgirls
are 12-0-0 on their home field this season and 30-2-0 at
home over the last three years.
Notre Dame (18-2-2) upset No. 1 national seed North
Carolina, 4-1, Saturday in Chapel Hill to advance to the
Elite Eight. The Fighting Irish are a No. 4 national seed
and have advanced to the College Cup 11 times.
The 2010 Women's College Cup will be held at the WakeMed
Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., on Dec. 3-5.
