IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State senior Bridget Miller has been honored as Oklahoma State’s Fall 2009 Chick-fil-A Community of Champions recipient, it was announced today by the Big 12 Conference. A senior midfielder on the Cowgirl soccer team, Miller was honored based on her exceptional fulfillment of criteria in the areas of academics, community service and leadership/sportsmanship. Miller, a native of Wylie, Texas, serves as one of OSU’s team captains this season. She has started every game for the Cowgirls in 2009 and has two goals and two assists. In the classroom, Miller is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree and carries a 3.7 GPA in health and human promotions-exercise and health. Also actively involved on campus and in the community, Miller is a member of the OSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and serves as a Salvation Army and American Red Cross volunteer. The Big 12 Conference, in conjunction with Chick-fil-A, names one student-athlete from each conference institution to the Community of Champions during the fall, winter and spring terms. OSU will be awarded $3,000 from Chick-fil-A for Miller’s efforts in earning this honor.
