Oklahoma State had two players named Big 12 Players of the Week this week when freshmen Bettina Grossmann and Angelika Feldbacher both earned the honor, as it was announced by the conference office today.
Grossmann was named Defensive Player of the Week this week for her efforts in goal against Oral Roberts and Tulsa. The Landsberg, Germany native recorded a shutout against Oral Roberts and allowed just one goal against Tulsa. She recorded four saves in the two games to help OSU to the Oklahoma Shootout title as the defensive MVP.
Angelika Feldbacher was named Newcomer of the Week for her performance in the Oklahoma Shootout over the weekend. Feldbacher scored a goal against oral Roberts to put the game out of reach. She scored the first goal against Tulsa and recorded an assist on the goal that gave OSU the tournament title.
The Cowgirls will be in action this weekend when Big 12 play begins. OSU will host Texas on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
