Cowgirl Soccer Closes Spring Season

 Lewisville, Texas– The Cowgirl soccer team closed out their spring season Saturday with two wins against SFA and Incarnate in the Panda Cup.

In the first game of the day against Stephen F. Austin, the Cowgirls beat SFA with a score of 3-0. Freshman Carson Michalowski scored a header off of a free kick from sophomore Coleen Dougherty.

The Cowgirls didn't slow down in the second half. Sophomore Krista Lopez scored from a pass from junior Katie Richardson. Shortly after, sophomore Kyndall Treadwell scored off a pass from Dougherty, notching her second assist of the game. Freshman Adriana Franch played the game in goal coming up with the shutout.

In the second game of the day, the Cowgirls beat the University of Incarnate Word 2-0. Junior Annika Niemeier scored the first goal of the game. In the second half, Lopez scored her second goal of the day to finish off the game. Franch and sophomore Keely Kippenberger shared the shutout for the final game of the spring season.
