2011 Cowgirl Soccer Season Highlights

Highlights from the 2011 Oklahoma State Cowgirl Soccer season, where OSU won its fifth Big 12 Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the second straight year.

2011: Started 20 games in goal and recorded 12 shutouts in over 1,800 minutes of action ... missed six games with injury ... named to the NSCAA All-America First Team and the Soccer America MVPs First Team ... unanimous All-Big 12 First-Team selection ... Big 12 Championship Defensive MVP ... MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist ... named to the NSCAA All-Central Region First Team ... All White Kit Golden Glove Award winner ... 12 shutouts led Big 12 and set OSU single-season record ... six of her shutouts came in conference play ... allowed just two goals in 760 minutes in Big 12 play to post a 0.24 goals against average ... ranked second in NCAA in goals against average (0.348) and third in save percentage (0.92) ... her 0.35 goals against average set an OSU record for a single season ... set OSU career record for shutouts with her 22nd vs. OU (9/26) ... named Big 12 Defensive Player of Week (10/25) after recording two shutouts and nine saves in 200 minutes of action vs. Baylor and Texas A&M ... recorded season-high seven saves twice -- vs. Texas Tech (10/27) and in second round of NCAA Tournament vs. Illinois (11/18) ... named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team ... participated in U.S. Women's National Team training camp in May 2012 ... played on U.S. U-23 National Team that won Three Nations Tournament in Norway in June 2012.

2010: Started all 26 games in goal ... a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy ... named to the NSCAA/Performance Subaru All-America Second Team ... also earned spots on the Soccer America MVPs First Team and the Team of the Season First Team ... earned All-Big 12 First Team accolades for second-straight year ... named to the NSCAA All-Central Region First Team ... one of's National Top 100 Players To Watch ... logged nearly 2,400 minutes in goal ... ranked among the nation's best in goals against average (0.73) and save percentage (.826) ... led Big 12 with nine shutouts -- vs. Oklahoma (twice), Oregon, TCU, Colorado College, Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas and Duke ... finished second in the conference in GAA and save percentage ... tied career high with eight saves in Big 12 Championship title game vs. OU ... collected seven saves twice -- at Portland and at Colorado College ... recorded an assist vs. Mississippi State (11/17) ... named to Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team ... a member of the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team.

2009: Started all 23 games in which she appeared ... turned in a record-setting season as a true freshman ... set OSU records with 11 shutouts, a 0.61 goals against average and a .843 save percentage ... led the Big 12 in all three of those categories ... logged over 2,073 minutes in goal, a school record ... named to the All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team ... named to the All-Rookie First Team ... also named to the NSCAA All-Central Region first team ... recorded first-career shutout with five-save performance at Utah State (9/4) ... had a career-best eight saves at Missouri (9/27) ... named to the Women's Team of the Week (11/9) and was a Primetime Performer of the Week for Week 12 (11/18) ... earned a spot on the Big 12 Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team ... had 16 saves in three wins at Big 12 tourney, including seven in the title game vs. Texas A&M (11/8) ... collected eight saves in NCAA Tournament, including five in second-round game at Santa Clara (11/15) ... earned a spot on the 2010 U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team, becoming the first OSU player to make a U.S. National Team roster ... played for the U.S. team in the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany in July.

CLUB/PREP: Three-year member of the Kansas ODP team ... played on the Region II ODP team and was an ODP National Pool player in 2006 ... led the KC Comets Select to a Kansas state championship in 2006 and to the Kansas state finals in 2007 and 2008 ... was the starting goalie for three seasons at South High School ... missed her senior season with an injury ... earned All-State, All-Southwest Region and All-League honors, as well as league MVP ... also starred on the basketball court, where she was first-team All-County and All-League and an honorable mention All-State performer.

PERSONAL: Born on Nov. 12, 1990 ... prefers to be called "AD" ... daughter of Raqual Franch ... has a brother, Malik Veal, and a sister, Patrica... majoring in graphic design and web page development.
