AUSTIN, Texas - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 302 during its third round on Wednesday to finish in fifth place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club. The Cowgirls finished the 54-hole event with a 33-over total of 897 to finish five shots behind a trio of teams for second place as Florida, Pepperdine and Tulsa all came in at 892. Tournament host Texas carded a closing 299 to win the event with an 880 total at the par-72, 6,344-yard layout. The finish wrapped up a strong fall season for OSU under first-year head coach Alan Bratton. The Cowgirls opened their slate with back-to-back victories before closing with consecutive top fives. Texas also produced the top two finishers in the individual race with Nicole Vandermade firing a 69 for a 214 total. She finished one shot clear of teammate Madison Pressel for medalist honors. OSU junior Kelsey Vines moved up three spots into third place after posting a 1-under 71. Vines finished two shots off the top spot with an even-par 216 total. Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun posted a 75 during her third round to tie for 13th at 223, while sophomore Josephine Janson's 76 tied her for 27th place at 227. Sophomore Jayde Panos and junior Hillary Wood each posted 80s during their final rounds. Panos finished tied for 63rd place at 236 and Wood wrapped up play at 237 and tied for 63rd.
