STANFORD, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team closed with a 300 score on Sunday at the Stanford Intercollegiate to finish in seventh place at Stanford Golf Course.
The Cowgirls began the day tied for third, but dipped four spots after their 16-over score resulted in a 54-hole total of 877. OSU finished three shots behind Arizona State for sixth at the par-71, 6,130-yard layout. Southern California finished at 857 and four shots clear of the field to win the event.
USC also produced the tournament's individual medalist with Kyung Kim carding a 68 during her final round to finish at 7-under 206. Her total bested the field by three strokes.
OSU had a pair of players earn top-five finishes with senior Kelsey Vines and junior Josephine Jansontying for fifth place at 213. Janson closed with a 71 to get to her even-par total and earn her best finish in three starts this year.
Vines posted a 74 en route to her second top five of the fall.
Sophomore Courtney Fergusoncarded a 79 to finish at 225 and tied for 53rd place.
Junior Jayde Panos' 79 tied her for 65th place at 229, while classmate Amy Ruengmateekhuncarded a closing 76 to also finish at 229.
The Cowgirls will close out their fall season beginning Oct. 26 when they travel to Wilmington, N.C. to compete at the Landfall Tradition.
