HALF MOON BAY, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team closed with a 6-under 282 on Tuesday at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate to finish in ninth place at Half Moon Bay Golf Links.
OSU finished with a 54-hole total of 878, 14-over, to come in a stroke behind Oregon at the par-72, 6,028-yard layout. UCLA took top honors at the event, finishing with a 15-under total of 849. The Bruins finished six shots clear of Southern California in the team race.
UCLA's Erynne Lee posted a 71 during her third round to finish at 207. Her 9-under total was good for a three-stroke victory.
OSU's Jayde Panos earned a top 10, moving up two spots on the final day into a tie for fifth place after posting a 1-under 71. The sophomore wrapped up the tournament with a 1-under 215 total.
Junior Kelsey Vines and senior Jocelyn Alford posted the squad's low rounds of the day with each firing a 2-under 70. Vines finished tied for 17th place at 218, while Alford tallied a 223 total to tie for 40th place.
Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun signed for a closing 75 to finish at 226 and tied for 51st place.
Making her OSU debut, freshman Courtney Ferguson also finished at 226 after posting a 71 during her third round.
The Cowgirls will return to action on April 22 when they travel to Norman, Okla., to face Oklahoma in the Bedlam Cup.
