ST. GEORGE, Utah - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 36-hole total of 612 on Monday at the BYU at Entrada Classic to stand in second place at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
The Cowgirls opened with a 313 during their morning round before bouncing back with a 299 for a 612, 36-over, total. Texas State finished the day atop the leaderboard at the par-72, 6,062-yard layout with a 600 total.
OSU's Kelsey Vines followed an opening 72 with a 74 during her afternoon round to stand at 2-over 146 and in first place. The junior posted four birdies during her first round en route to her even-par score. Vines' second round saw her play the outward nine in 2-under 34 before finishing at 2-over to wrap up the day with a two-shot lead.
Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun and senior Jocelyn Alford joined Vines in the top 20, standing in a tie for 13th and a tie for 16th, respectively. Ruengmateekhun posted rounds of 78 and 75 for her 153 total, while Alford finished at 155 after posting rounds of 82 and 73.
The Cowgirls will close out the event tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. and will be grouped with Texas State and Cal State Fullerton.
