The No. 5 Oklahoma State equestrian team will take to the road this weekend when it travels to Tennessee for weekend matchups with Tennessee-Martin and Delaware State. About the Cowgirls Oklahoma State is 3-3 on the season, including a 2-1 mark in Big 12 conference competition. This is the first competition for the cowgirls since they defeated the then fifth-ranked Kansas State Wildcats, 15-7, at the Animal Science Arena on Nov. 17. OSU In the Rankings The Cowgirls are ranked fifth in the latest Women’s Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll. They received 64 points in the poll, just behind SEC powers Texas A&M (68), Georgia (68), Auburn (99) and South Carolina (103). About the Opponents Both Tennessee-Martin and Delaware State have competed against one another this year with Tennessee-Martin coming out on top with a raw score victory of 1475.75-1140.25. Covering all the Bases With Sophomore Katy Krshka’s 10-2 record in Western events and Sophomore Allison Joyce’s 9-2 record in Hunterseat events, the two Cowgirls have combined to go 19-4 in the four disciplines. A Wide Margin Krshka and Joyce’s combined four losses have been by a total of 5.5 points, or just under 1.4 per loss.
