WACO, Texas -- The No. 6 Oklahoma State equestrian team knocked off the fourth-ranked Baylor Bears, 13-11, at the Willis Family Equestrian Center Saturday.

"It was an exciting day," coach Larry Sanchez said. "Baylor is a very good team. I'm proud of our ladies as it's tough to get a quality win on the road against a big 12 school."

The western team got the ball rolling with a dominating performance in horsemanship, topping the Bears, 5-1. Lauren Halvorson led all riders with an 80-73.5 victory. The redshirt sophomore earned MVP honors for her performance. Katy Krshka earned her sixth win of the year in the discipline with a 79.5-0 win. Mamie Tomlin saw her season-high score with a 78-73.5 victory. Marissa Dalton won her head-to-head matchup 76.5-74.5 and Mackenzie Fugitt picked up her first victory of the season with a 77.5-77 win over her Baylor counterpart.

Oklahoma State rattled off four straight head-to-head wins in reining to clinch the overall victory. Caroline Daniels had the team-high score on the day, defeating her counterpart, 72-67.5. She earned MVP honors, her second of the season. Rachel Houchin followed with a 71.5-68 win, her fourth of the season. Max Clason picked up her first head-to-head victory of the season with a 66.5-55.5 triumph, and Jenna Blumer rounded out reining with a 62-52.5 victory on a difficult ride.

Andrea Robbins highlighted the day for Oklahoma State in the hunter seat, earning an 87-84 victory and picking up her second MVP of the season. Haydan Vosburgh won her head-to-head matchup, 74-71, but the Cowgirls fell in the discipline by a 4-2 margin.

Samantha Harrison led the Pokes in equitation over fences, riding her way to an 85-77 victory. Sammy Elser won her head-to-head matchup, 81-79, her third win of the year in the discipline to go along with two MVPs. Sarah Gesick scored an 85 in her ride, but it wasn't enough to overcome her Baylor counterpart as she fell by to points. The two 85-point rides matched Olivia Treub's 85 against Texas A&M as the season high for the Cowgirls in the discipline.

Oklahoma State improved to 5-4 on the season and is riding a three-match win streak. Baylor fell to 7-2 on the season, with both losses coming at the hands of the Cowgirls.

The Pokes will be back in action when they host the No. 2 Texas A&M Aggies at Animal Science Arena next Saturday.
