OSU Closes Out Home Stretch On Monday
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (3-0) will wrap up its season-opening four-game homestand on Monday at 7 p.m. when it plays host to UT Arlington (1-2). The Cowgirls enter the contest fresh off Saturday's 91-41 win over Centenary, while the Mavericks come to town having won their first game of the year, a 75-68 victory at UMKC, on Saturday. The contest will be OSU's third in five days.
OSU-UT Arlington ... The Series
The two programs have met on on eight previous occasions. The Cowgirls have won seven of those eight meetings, including a 4-1 mark in Stillwater. OSU won the last tilt between the two, 82-72, in the first round of the 2009 WNIT. The Mavericks' lone victory in the series came on Dec. 21, 2002, a 59-57 win inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Scouting UT Arlington
UT Arlington is in the midst of a four-game road swing to open the season. The Mavericks opened the year with a 110-58 loss at Oral Roberts before falling, 88-48, at Houston. UTA got its first win of the year at UMKC on Saturday. Tamara Simmons leads the squad in scoring at 18.0 points per contest. She is joined in double figures by Shalyn Martin, who is averaging 10.3 points per game. UTA was chosen fourth in the West Division of the Southland Conference in both the SIDs and coaches polls. Martin was a preseason all-league pick.

The Cowgirls have won 45-straight non-conference games at home... OSU's last non-conference home loss came in double overtime against Tulsa on Dec. 3, 2005 ... a win would move OSU head coach Kurt Budke within two of the 100-win mark at OSU.
