IRVING, Texas - For the second week in a row, Oklahoma State's Brittney Martin has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week, as chosen by a media panel. The honor was the fourth freshman accolade for Martin, who shared the weekly award with TCU's Zahna Medley. After having the midweek off, the Syracuse, Utah native helped the Cowgirls extend their winning streak to three in a row with a 71-42 victory over No. 24 Iowa State on Sunday. OSU has now won its last two when facing a Top 25 opponent. In the victory, Martin recorded her third-straight double-figure scoring game with 10 points and was one of five Cowgirls in double figures. She also contributed six rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 29 minutes. Martin and the 12th-ranked Cowgirls will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State at 7 p.m.
