Kendra Wecker scored 18 points and Nicole Ohlde added 17 and 10 rebounds to lead Kansas State past Oklahoma State with a 76-44 win in front of 3,121 fans inside Gallgher-Iba Arena on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats (12-2, 3-0 Big 12) went on a 19-0 run that spanned both halves, taking much of the early fight out of Oklahoma State (6-8, 1-2). K-State held OSU to just 29 percent shooting from the floor and held the Cowgirls to 15 points in the first half, while converting 47 percent of their shots. The Cowgirls, who lost 106-43 to top-ranked Texas Tech on Saturday, have dropped five of their last six games. Trisha Skibbe led Oklahoma State with 14 points and a team-best six rebounds, and Kenzie Cole added 12. Laurie Koehn chipped in with 14 points for Kansas State on a 4-of-8 effort from beyond the three-point arc. The Cowgirls will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Norman to take on in-state rival Oklahoma at 6 p.m.
