The Oklahoma State women's cross country team moved up six spots and the men remained the No. 1 team in the country, according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll, released Monday.
The Cowgirls advanced six spots to No. 21 in this week's poll after finishing second at the Big 12 Championships last weekend in Austin, Texas. Florida State still leads the pack with the No. 1 ranking, followed by No. 2 Iowa State, third-ranked Oregon, No. 4 Arizona, and fifth-ranked Stanford rounding out the top five.
The Cowboys, coming off of winning their fifth straight Big 12 Championship, once again hold the top ranking. The Cowboys are trailed in the poll by second- ranked Colorado, No. 3 Stanford, fourth-ranked Iona, and No. 5 Texas.
Both teams will be back in action at NCAA Regionals on Nov. 9 in Springfield, Mo.
