STILLWATER -
The Oklahoma State men's cross country team remained No. 1 in the Midwest Region, and the women's team stayed No. 2, according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.
Coming off their fifth-straight Big 12 title, the Cowboys stayed No. 1 ahead of Big 12 rival, Oklahoma. Along with OSU and OU, Kansas (6) and Iowa State (7) round out the other Big 12 schools ranked in the top 15 in the Midwest.
The Cowgirls stayed at No. 2 in the poll and are coming off a second-place finish at the Big 12 Championships, the team's best finish at the meet since 2005. Along with OSU, Iowa St. (1), Kansas St. (11) and Kansas (12) are the other ranked Big 12 teams.
Both teams return to action Nov. 9 when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for the NCAA Regional Championships.
