2012 Outdoors: Took an Olympic redshirt year ... Achieved an Olympic "A" Standard in the 5,000 meters when he ran a school record 13:15.31 at the Payton Jordan Invitational ... If he had not taken a redshirt, that mark would have been tops in the NCAA by more than three seconds ... Set a personal best in the 1,500 meters of 3:41.07 at the Stanford Invitational ... 2012 Indoors: Earned second-team All-America recognition after running a 7:55.09 to place ninth in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Championships ... 2011 Cross Country: Earned All-America status for the second-consecutive season after placing 31st at the NCAA Championships with a time of 29:58.6 in the 10K race ... Named to the all-Big 12 cross country team for the second year in a row after placing eighth, completing the 8,000 meters in 23:51.6, which is the eighth-best 8K time in OSU history ... 2011 Indoors: Big 12 champion in the 3,000 meters, running the race in 8:00.20 ... Clocked an NCAA automatic-qualifying time of 7:54.42 at the Husky Classic ... That mark was the 20th-fastest time in the nation during the indoor season ... Placed 16th at the NCAA Championships in 8:14.16 ... His mile time of 4:02.38 at the Razorback Invitational is a top-10 all-time indoor mark at Oklahoma State and placed him 41st on the 2011 NCAA indoor list ... 2010 Cross Country: Key member of Oklahoma State's NCAA-champion team who earned the first All-America honor of his career with a 29th-place finish at the NCAA meet in 30:21.3 ... Helped lead the Cowboys to their third-straight Big 12 team title with a fourth-place finish at the conference meet in 24:06.63 ... All-region honoree who took fourth in 29:53.38 ... Claimed the individual title at the four-mile Hurricane Invitational in 19:54 ... His 29:14.89 at the 10,000-meter Chile Pepper Festival was good for a second-place finish at the event and stands as the fifth-fastest 10K cross country time in Oklahoma State history ... 2010 Outdoors: Ran the 1,500 meters exclusively during the outdoor slate, posting a 3:42.92 competing unattached at the Arkansas Twilight meet ... That time is the second-fastest ever for an Oklahoma State freshman, trailing only the 3:39.00 that German Fernandez ran to win the 2009 NCAA championship race ... Big 12 runner-up with a 3:44.02 at the conference championships ... Ran a 3:49.69 at the Sooner Open and was 33rd in the prelims at the NCAA West Preliminary with a 3:51.13.
2010 Indoors: Earned all-Big 12 honors with a 14:12.62 in the 5,000 meters that was good for a third-place finish at the conference meet ... Set a new personal best when he ran the 3,000 meters in an NCAA-provisional time of 7:58.68 at the Husky Classic ... That mark is good for sixth on Oklahoma State's all-time indoor list and is the second-fastest time ever for a Cowboy freshman, trailing only the 7:47.97 that German Fernandez ran at the 2009 Husky Classic ... Hit a second provisional time at the Razorback Invitational with a 8:02.18 ... Ran the mile in 4:17.40 at the Wichita State Invitational.
2009 Cross Country: Did not compete for Oklahoma State, but did represent his native Great Britain at the world junior cross country championships in Poland, placing 50th at the meet in 24:33.
High School: Great Britain's top finisher at the 2009 World Junior Cross Country Championships in Amman, Jordan, placing 58th at the event ... Claimed the 3,000 meter title at the 2009 English schools outdoor track championships ... Took third representing Great Britain at an international event in Lisbon, Portugal in 2009.
Personal: Born March 23, 1991 in Carlisle, United Kingdom ... Son of David and Jennifer Farrell ... Mother competed for England in the high jump at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, while father was a top 3,000m steeplechaser and member of the British Milers' Club.
