2009-10: Finished with a 3-4 overall record ... Two of his three wins came with bonus points ... Suited up for the Missouri Open and the Fort Hays State Open. 2008-09: Compiled a 7-8 overall record competing in open tournaments ... Two of his wins came by major decision ... Placed fifth at the Roger Denker Open and was sixth at the Central Missouri Open. Prior to OSU: Attended the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, where he was coached by Jon McGovern ... Placed fourth at the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at 125 pounds. High School: Attended Comeaux HS in Lafayette, La., before transferring to Plano East HS in Plano, Texas his junior year ... Was a junior national freestyle All-American in 2006 at 119 pounds ... Three-time state placer, including a Texas state title in 2005 ... Took third at the Louisiana state championships in 2004 and was sixth at the Texas state championships in 2006.
