Cowboy senior moves on at ITA National Indoor Championships.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Oklahoma State’s Oleksandr Nedovyesov advanced to the second round of the ITA National Indoor Championships after defeating Texas Tech’s Raony Carvalho in straight sets in Thursday’s opening round of singles play.
Nedovyesov’s 6-3, 7-6 (6), win advances him to Friday’s round of 16, where he will face Florida State’s Clint Bowles at noon.
The Cowboy senior also competed in the opening doubles round Thursday, where he and partner Aleksey Bessonov dropped a close match against Florida’s Antoine Benneteau and Alexandre Lacroix, 9-8 (2).
Play at the ITA National Indoor Championships resumes Friday for the second and quarterfinal rounds of singles play and the quarterfinal round of doubles play. Matches are set to begin at 9 a.m.
