Nedovyesov; Bessonov Upset No. 1 Seed at ITA Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State’s Oleksandr Nedovyesov and Aleksey Bessonov continued their doubles run at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships Friday, upsetting the top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Georgia duo of Jamie Hunt and Nate Schnugg, 8-6, in the second round of the main draw.

The Oklahoma State pair reached the second round after knocking off Virginia Tech’s Patrick Daciek and Yoann Re, Virginia Tech, 8-3, in Thursday’s opening round.

The Cowboys now advance to face Kentucky’s Eric Quigley and Brad Cox in the quarterfinals Saturday, setting up a rematch between Nedovyesov and Quigley, who upset Nedovyesov in the first round of the main draw singles bracket Thursday.
