Two Cowboys Earn PGA Tour Cards

MCKINNEY, Texas - Oklahoma State's Casey Wittenberg and Morgan Hoffmann were among the 25 players awarded PGA Tour cards for 2013 following the final round at the Tour Championship at TPC Craig Ranch on Sunday.

Wittenberg tied for ninth at the event to wrap up the No. 1 spot on the Tour's money list. The Memphis, Tenn., native finished the year with $433,453 in earnings in 24 starts and logged a pair of victories on the year. Additionally, he will be fully exempt on the PGA Tour in 2013 and will receive an invitation to The Players Championship in May.

Wittenberg returns to the Tour for the first time since his lone season in 2009.

Morgan Hoffmann fired a 64 during his closing round at the Tour Championship to move from a tie for 11th into a tie for 3rd place to secure his card. The Wyckoff, N.J., native entered the final event in 31st place on the money list before using the top-five finish to wind up in 19th. Hoffmann needed just 13 starts to earn $207,540 and his promotion.

Hoffmann is one of 15 players from the group to become a first-time member of the PGA Tour.
