Fort Worth, Texas - Oklahoma State's Talor Gooch was one of 27 collegiate golfers named to the 2013 Ben Hogan Award Watch List, it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of Amaerica. The Ben Hogan Award is presented annually to the top men's NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during the past 12-month period. A native of Midwest City, Okla., Gooch posted top 10s in each of his two starts this past fall, tying for second at the U.S. Collegiate Championship and tying for sixth place at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. On the amateur circuit this past year, Gooch advanced to the second round of match play at the U.S. Amateur Championship and tied for second during the stroke play portion of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. Additionally, he tied for fourth place at the Southern Amateur Championship and won the OGA Stroke Play Championship.
