Entering his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Oklahoma State golf program is Cullen Carstens.

Carstens competed collegiately at Missouri Baptist for his father, Randy. During his four-year career, he was twice named an all-conference pick and was selected to the NAIA All-Region V Team as a freshman after claiming medalist honors at the region tournament.

Off the course, Carstens was named an academic All-American in 2006 and 2007.

During his prep career at Westminster Christian Academy, Carstens won the district championship as a junior. On three occasions he earned all-district honors and was named an all-state selection following his junior and senior seasons.

Carstens has also spent time in an administrative capacity, serving as a summer intern in 2003 and 2004 with the Gateway PGA Junior Golf Association in St. Louis. In his position, he was responsible for overseeing tournament operations.

He also worked as a summer tournament operations intern with the AJGA in 2007.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Carstens graduated from Missouri Baptist University in 2007 with degrees in marketing and business administration.
