Cowboy Football Gameday Guide 2009
Orange Fans Only
The place to get your football fix this fall is Boone Pickens
Stadium where the Cowboys have one of the most anticipated non-conference
schedules in the country, taking on Georgia, Houston, Rice and Grambling State.
The home conference slate kicks off October 17 when the Pokes host Missouri
during America's biggest Homecoming celebration, followed by high-octane
showdowns with Texas and Texas Tech. The home schedule concludes with a special
Thursday night tangle with Colorado on Senior Night.
But Gameday isn’t just about football. It’s a celebration of Cowboy sports
and Orange Pride. Boone Pickens Stadium, with the Wild West Zone now open to
fans, represents the beginning of a new era for OSU athletics.
Gameday
Cowboy football isn’t just a game. It’s an event. This season the football
experience has spilled out onto the concourse. Join other cowboy fans in the
Hall of Fame Block Party on the north side of the stadium for carnival
concessions, Nike tent, inflatable games, and GoVision. John Holcomb and Dave
Hunziker will broadcast the Cowboy pre-game show live across from the US
Cellular Autograph Tent. In addition, the south side of Boone Pickens Stadium
will feature a tent city full of vendors offering “made in Oklahoma”
merchandise.
The Western-themed Express Personnel Club Level at Boone Pickens Stadium
offers a pre-game buffet (click here for this week’s menu options), wider seats
with increased leg room and cupholders, and a climate-controlled indoor lounge
with flat-screen TVs. The Club Level is home to some of our most dedicated
supporters of OSU Athletics and is a tremendous way to enjoy Cowboy Football in
an upscale atmosphere. For more information, including a private tour or seat
availability, please contact Matt Grantham via email at mgrantham@osugiving.com or by phone at 405-744-5938 or 877-OSU-ATHL between 8am and 5pm (CST) Monday

They'll be led by Coach Gundy and the OSU Marching Band. This is your first
chance of the day to help fire up the team. Consider it reporting for duty.
POSSE Parking
POSSE parking lots will open 6hours prior to evening games and 4 hours prior to
morning or early afternoon games. There will be no access to Knoblock Street
between Hall of Fame Avenue & McElroy Street on game days. There will be NO
grilling, cooking or charcoaling allowed in or on top of the Silver Star parking
garage due to fire and safety regulations, please plan accordingly.
General Parking
All game day fans looking for FREE parking, park downtown Stillwater. Shop at
the local merchants, enjoy less traffic and then step onto an air conditioned
shuttle bus at 7th Street & Lewis. The Shuttle will service approximately every
15 minutes before the game starting three hours prior to kickoff and will
service every 30 minutes after the game depending on traffic.
Cowboy fans can now PARK FREE IN DOWNTOWN STILLWATER and enjoy gameday
shopping and dining before catching a courtesy shuttle to Boone Pickens Stadium.
to download a map of available free parking lot locations downtown. Shuttle
service begins 3 hours prior to kickoff and continues throughout post-game, with
pick-up/drop-off approx. every 15 minutes.
Traffic Flow
I-35 Northbound traffic please consider taking OK-33 east to 177 north into
Stillwater. This will greatly alleviate some traffic issues in Stillwater.
How Orange Are You?
Cowboy athletes feed off the noise and emotion OSU fans provide - that's why
it's called "home field advantage." The Cowboys need your support as they knock
off the league's perennial powers and make a run at a bowl game. Arrive early,
wear orange, make some noise!
Live Sports Radio
The radio will work at all the home and away games of your Home Team. Each season a new radio will be available as the FCC-licensed frequencies that are used for the broadcast will change depending upon the team’s schedule.
