STILLWATER, Okla. - Saturday night's football game between No. 3 Texas and No. 13 Oklahoma State marks the first official sellout of the expanded Boone Pickens Stadium seating bowl.
In 2009, OSU has already set the three largest single-game attendance marks in its history. Saturday's game will exceed each of those three contests. The current single-game attendance record at Boone Pickens Stadium is 56,901 against Grambling on Sept. 26.
With the game being played on Halloween night, the Oklahoma State athletic department anticipates fans dressed in Halloween costumes. Please note that normal stadium policies will apply in terms of what can be brought into the stadium.
A list of stadium policies:
- All persons, including children of any age, must have a ticket for admission into Boone Pickens Stadium.
- All persons are subject to search.
- Allowable bags (8x11) brought into the stadium will be searched.
- No tobacco products are allowed on university property.
- No pets or animals of any kind are allowed in the stadium with the exception of service animals for impaired or disabled guests.
- No chairbacks are allowed in the stadium.
- Spirit banners, flags or signs considered to be improper will be removed and confiscated by game management. The use of poles to display these items is prohibited.
- The following items are not permitted to be brought into Boone Pickens Stadium: umbrellas, alcoholic beverages, car seats, baby strollers, artificial noisemakers, beach balls, explosives, firearms, food, beverage, ice chests, backpacks, video cameras, large lens cameras, tripods and monopods.
- Big 12 Conference and NCAA rules prohibit artificial noisemakers from being brought into the stadium.
Some of the examples of Halloween-themed items that will not be allowed into Boone Pickens Stadium:
- Toy swords, toy guns and toy knives or anything with a pole attached, such as a broom or a "grim reaper-style sickle".
