Oct. 29, 2012

STILLWATER—Oklahoma State kicker/punter Quinn Sharp was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Sharp tied the school record, making five field goals en route to the Cowboys’ 36-14 win over No. 25 TCU.  His performance on Saturday included seven touchbacks on nine kickoffs and he averaged 43 yards on five punts. Two of his punts were downed inside the 20 and the longest traveled 59 yards.

Sharp was the 2011 Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and has earned All-America honors as both a kicker and a punter during his time at Oklahoma State.
