STILLWATER, Okla. - With many inquiries coming into the Oklahoma State athletic department regarding a "blackout" for this week's game against Texas, it should be noted that OSU encourages its fans to wear orange to the game, but will not discourage the student-generated movement for a blackout. "We are excited about the passion of our fans and our students and they have come out in record numbers to support our football team this year," OSU Assistant VP for Marketing and Enrollment Kyle Wray said. "Our official stance on a blackout is that we encourage our fans to turn Boone Pickens Stadium into its normal Sea of Orange against Texas. "The students did approach the athletic department about a blackout for this game. Our response was that if the students are excited about wearing black to the game, we will certainly not impede their efforts."
