What was it like playing in the Rose Bowl in your first collegiate game?
“It was great to come out as a freshmen to play in the Rose Bowl. I got a chance to show everyone that I can play college football.”
How does it feel leading the team in receptions after the first game as a freshman?
“It’s weird because D’Juan Woods and Chijuan Mack are our top wide receivers. I just come out and do what the coaches tell me to do and enjoy it.”
Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
“It just felt like I was apart of a family. I like Coach Miles, Coach Monken and the rest of the team. That is the reason I came to Oklahoma State.”
Who has been the most competitive defender you have gone up against at Oklahoma State?
“Darrent Williams because he has the instinct not to let anyone catch a ball. Going up against players like him is just going to make me a better player.”
Oklahoma State has gone to two straight bowl games. Being a part of a very young wide receiver group, what will it take to get back into the post season this year?
“Everybody needs to stay focused, so that we can reach our goals. Everyone needs to come out to work hard, and practice the best we can. I don’t see any reason for us not to go back to a bowl game. I’m just looking forward to the rest of the season.”
What do you expect out of yourself as a freshman?
“I expect to come out and play hard every play, so that I can do what I can to help the team.”
What impresses you the most about this team?
“I’ve been really impressed with how athletic the guys are. We have one of the most athletic teams I have ever seen. Then the leadership is great with guys like Vernand Morency, Robert Jones and Darrent Williams.”
