STILLWATER, Okla. - Two-time Biletnikoff Award-winning receiver Justin Blackmon visited with okstate.com at Boone Pickens Stadium on Tuesday. Some of his comments:
On the ride he's been on since the Fiesta Bowl:
"It's been a pretty crazy ride - meeting with teams, different coaches and GMs. It's been an experience and it's been a lot of fun."
On where he chose to train after the season:
"I've been training here at Oklahoma State with Coach Glass and Coach Joel Tudman and with Hubert Anyiam, Richetti Jones, Jamie Blatnick, Markelle Martin, James Thomas - we all stayed around, worked out together, pushed each other and tried to get ready for that Pro Day."
On training in Stillwater and what Rob Glass and others did to help him for OSU's Pro Day:
"They did everything they could. They were open, they stayed up here to meet with us. They weren't getting paid for it, they spent their own time out there helping us and trying to coach us and put us in the best position to be successful. I'm grateful and I know the rest of these guys are grateful for what they did. A lot of us improved through those short eight weeks that we had to prepare for Pro Day."
On what he hopes his legacy is at Oklahoma State:
"I had a great time here and I enjoyed it. I'm somebody that likes to compete and leave it all out there on the field and show up every Saturday."
On his favorite memories at Oklahoma State:
"The entire 2011 season ending with the Fiesta Bowl win. It was fun being with the team. We had a good bond and a good group of guys. It was fun hanging out with them during the year and it was fun the way we ended it."
On his message to Oklahoma State fans:
"Keep on staying with this team. Keep on supporting and we're going to somehow try to get that national championship."
