Led the Cowboys to a fourth-quarter comeback against Texas in his first career start, but a final-minute UT score negated the heroics ... Against the Longhorns he was 18-of-27 passing for 301 yards and two touchdowns while running for 57 yards on eight carries ...Had the biggest game of his freshman season against Iowa State with 415 passing yards (32-of-47) and a touchdown (a 74-yarder to Charlie Moore), and 46 rushing yards with a TD ... Completed the game despite a significant injury that kept him out of the next three games ...
