Will conclude a very productive Cowboy career in 2013 ... Was on the road to a redshirt season in 2009 when backfield injuries forced him into action ... Played just one game before joining the injury list and having to redshirt after all ... Owns the second longest streak of consecutive games with a rushing touchdown (10) in school history ... Trails only Barry Sanders (15) in that category ... Has three 100-yard rushing games in his career ... Will enter the season ninth all-time at OSU with 25 career rushing touchdowns and should easily crack the school's top 25 for career rushing yards during his senior season ... Has a career average of 6.2 yards per carry, which is second only to Barry Sanders (6.8) among Cowboys with at least 100 career rushing attempts.

2012 (Junior): Lost much of the midseason to a nagging injury but was strong down the stretch ... Best game of the year was an eight-carry, 77-yard, one-touchdown outing vs. Arizona ... Ran for 59 yards against Louisiana ... Had three rushing TDs vs. Savannah State in the season opener ... Injury limited him to just 16 carries over five games (Texas, Kansas, Iowa State, TCU and Kansas State) ... Had an 18-yard run at Oklahoma to set up a Cowboy score ... Had a run of at least 15 yards in five games and ended the season with eight rushing TDs ... A 23-yard run at Arizona was his longest of the season ... Had five carries for 28 yards at Baylor, including a 13-yard run ... Had 40 yards on just six carries against Purdue, including a five-yard TD run.

2011 (Sophomore): Officially he spent 2011 as the understudy to Joseph Randle, but the running back position developed into a two-headed monster ... Ended the season with 646 rushing yards, nine touchdowns and 7.1 yards per carry ... Scored at least one touchdown in the first six games of the season, ending at Missouri, after he scored a TD in the final four games of 2010 ... Best game came in Austin when he KO'd Texas with 140 yards on just seven carries with scoring runs of 74 and 30 yards ... It was the ninth best rushing game in the Big 12 last season ... Ripped up OU for 119 yards on just 10 carries with two touchdowns (on runs of 37 and nine yards) ... Had another wild "yards-per-carry" day with 77 on just three rushes against Baylor, including a 63-yard scamper ... Averaged 13 yards per rush against Kansas with 39 yards on three attempts with a touchdown ... Did not play against Kansas State due to a mild injury and an injury limited his play in the Fiesta Bowl.

2010 (Freshman): Finished second on the team with seven rushing touchdowns ... Averaged 4.7 yards per rush ... Finished third on the squad with 262 yards, but 182 of that came over the last five games ... Was excellent in short-yardage situations with touchdown runs in each of the last four games (Texas, Kansas, OU and Arizona)... Also ran for scores against Washington State, Texas Tech and Nebraska ... Longest run of the year was a 28-yarder against the Sooners ... Rushed for 64 yards on 11 carries at Kansas and 50 yards on seven carries vs. Baylor ... Had 34 yards on just five carries against OU, including a 2-yard TD run ... Had a six-yard TD run in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

2009: Redshirted, but saw action in one game ... Rushed for 160 yards on 15 carries against Grambling State ... That total included a touchdown and his 69-yard run tied for the longest jaunt by a Cowboy in 2009 ... Averaged 10.7 yards per attempt.

High School: Was the first Cowboy commitment of the 2009 recruiting class and one of the most decorated ... A SuperPrep All-American ... Rated as the 10th-best running back in the country by that publication and the sixth-best prospect in the Midlands region ... An All-American as selected by Tom Lemming as well ... Rivals labeled him the fourth-best player in Oklahoma and No. 23 among running backs ... Led Union to the state title with 243 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the championship game ... Ran for more than 1,600 yards as a senior and for over 4,200 yards in his career ... An all-stater who was named as The Oklahoman's offensive player of the year.

Personal: Born Aug. 25, 1991, in Helena, Ark. ... Son of Terra Smith-Hughes and Fernando Smith ... Education major.
